Common Sense Thinking “Outside of The Box”

* The most important resource a country has is its people; the workforce. A superbly educated and healthy workforce plays a critical role in the future of a country.

* To compete in a global economy driven by super technology requires a superbly educated and healthy workforce.

* We have a moral obligation to give everyone the best education and healthcare possible regardless of race, color, religon, financial status, or mental/physical special needs.

* While structures for the education and healthcare systems evolved, we made it possible for politics and special interest groups to corrupt those systems.

Healthcare: Specialists for every part of the human body (i.e., from hair to toenails) have been developed, but can be expensive and not available to everyone!

*Education: The education system has evolved from home-schooling to single-room schools for all ages, to multi-room schools, to different schools for different age groups (i.e., Pre-School, K-12, college, technical  schools, etc.).

* Any group of students can have three types of needs; gifted and talented, general, special needs (i.e., mental/physical). Asking one teacher to deal with all three types (i.e., Inclusion) is reducing the teaching time for all students. Three levels of teaching are required, in separate classrooms, with separate curriculums, if superb teaching is to be achieved; maximum teaching time for each level!

Gifted and Talented…Honors Curriculum

General…General Curriculum

Special Needs…Special Needs Curriculum (i.e., The Special Olympics approach)

* The three level approach should be standard for all subjects! That is Common Sense Thinking “Outside of The Box”
